WHY CAN’T I ALWAYS GET MY PURCHASE THE SAME DAY?
We are new to this and trying to learn how much stock we need to keep. Sometimes we might guess wrong and have to clean your beans before we can package them up. Yes, we hand clean those beans you buy to ensure you get the best possible quality. Sometimes we don’t have a date with the butcher when we want it. We will do our best to get you what you need.
HOW LONG ARE MY STEAKS GOOD IN THE FREEZER?
As long as you keep your steaks steadily frozen, they should be good for 12-18 months. The USDA created a helpful guideline about this very topic.
HOW SHOULD I THAW MY PRODUCTS?
We recommend placing the vacuum-sealed products in your refrigerator for 48 hours. We’re also realists and know this isn’t always possible. To thaw your products quickly, place the vacuum-sealed products in cold water.
ARE THEIR ANTIBIOTICS IN YOUR BEEF?
There are never antibiotics in the beef you buy. We do sometimes use antibiotics on animals when they aren’t feeling good. Instead we work hard on preventing illness. We do this by giving our animals a good diet, keeping their environment clean, assuring they are content and by using a veterinarian recommended vaccination program.
DO YOU OWN THE CATTLE?
Yes, we own all of the cattle that make the beef you buy. All of the animals are born on our farm and they live their entire life with us.
HOW LONG IS YOUR PRODUCT AGED?
15 days.
WHAT DOES DRY-AGED MEAN?
Dry-aging means whole sides of beef, or primal cuts, are hung in open air at a temperature just above freezing and left to age for several weeks. This allows the meat to slowly dehydrate, which changes the texture and flavor.
